Gulab Jamuns


Ingredients


Syrup

1kg Sugar
4 cups water
1/4 tsp cardamon

Heat the sugar with water until the sugar dissolves.Then bring to a boilHeat it for about 5 minutes to thickens.Set aside.

For jamuns


400g Milk powder
8tbl spn flour
1/2 tbl spn baking powder
11 ounce fresh milk (5 1/2 + 5 1/2)
120 g butter

Method


Combine the milk powder, baking powder, butter and flour together.Then add 1/2 of the milk.Then mix it gently to make a dough.Keep it for half hour.

Now add the remaining  and kneed well.If the dough is very sticky and balls are hard to form, add little flour.

Then make balls and deep fry it and when it turn to the desired shade of brown, remove balls  and put in sugar syrup.
