Shawarma


Ingredients



500g flour
Salt to taste
2 table spoon butter
2 tea spoon sugar
Warm milk


Method


Knead all the ingredients together until the dough becomes soft.Cover the dough and set aside for it to rest for 1 hour.

Make smalls balls out of the dough.Roll each small balls into thin rotti and cook them. Do not over cook.


Filling


750 g born less chicken fried. (cut into stripes)
Mayonnaise as required
1/2 tea spoon salt
1/2 tea spoon black pepper
1 cup grated carrot
Guava chopped
Onions chopped (medium size onions)
Fried brinjol (cut into cubes)
1 cup green capsicum chopped

In a bowl, mix mayonnaise and all other ingredients.



To assemble


Take one wrap and spread some mayonnaise and add the filling and roll it.

  1. most mayo'z in sri lanka give a raw kind of taste! which mayo in SL givz a processed taste which is suitable for fillings?
